Rafting in Canmore and Banff
Canmore is in close proximity to several rivers which offer rafting for all ages and ability levels. Canadian Rockies Rafting offer rafting trips on the Bow River, Kananaskis River, and Kicking Horse River, and their tours range from a relaxed family float trip to grade 4 whitewater rafting.

Canmore Nordic Centre
Built for the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, the Canmore Nordic Centre is a world class facility for cross country skiing and boasts a large network of perfectly groomed ski trails for all ability levels, as well as a comfortable lodge for warming up the kids or grabbing lunch and a drink. The network of trails also offer great mountain biking during the summer.

Canmore Museum
The Canmore Museum & Geoscience Centre is located in downtown Canmore and tells the history of the local Canmore community as well as the geology of the Canadian Rockies. There is a permanent exhibition illustrating Canmore�s mining heritage, as well as temporary exhibitions focussing on both local and general subject matter.
